This is Amelia's new "thing" - to tip her head back with a super cheesy grin. |
Quinn Mattie 8 Months
The girls are still eating really well. We have had a couple days here and there where Amelia is less than interested in drinking but they both love their solids. Some of their favorites include: bananas, avocados, pears, carrots, and a mix of broccoli/carrots/cauliflower. They have also been having some shredded cheese and baby yogurt and really enjoy that. Both girls have started signing "more" to us and sometimes they will do "all done." We aren't totally sure they get what it means but its progress right? Here are some pictures of meal time.
Both girls continue to sleep through the night. They go to bed around 8 and wake up around 6. Usually they wake up at 6 because we are waking them up to eat before we leave. I think pretty soon we will just let them sleep and have them eat when they get to daycare. I did have to put up some funny pictures of our sleeping beauties...and their dolls. Can you tell who is who?
PS....I do move them away from the bumpers when their faces are smashed up against them like that! I get really nervous about that kind of thing!
Today I brought Quinn to Urgent Care because she had a cough, could not keep her tylenol down, and had a temp of 103 and it would not go down. She was definitely not being herself. Ever since she had RSV last November I am pretty quick to bring her in. Well, turns out she has a double ear infection. Poor baby! She was so cuddly today, which I love, but she has become such a busy body, I know she isn't feeling well. Amelia did so well with me holding Quinn for most of the day too. She played so nicely by herself going from her dolls and blocks to her toy table thing. Every once and a while she would turn around and look at me and smile her cheesy smile or come over by me for a second, but then she would keep playing. It was almost like she knew that Quinn needed to be held and she was okay with that. I have actually noticed that before. There is rarely a time when both of them are screaming at the same time. It's almost like one backs off if the other is already crying. Maybe I am imagining it or maybe we have just gotten lucky.
Anyway, I will be staying home with the girls tomorrow so hopefully she starts to feel better.
We are continuing to work on the basement and getting pretty far. We had several guys come this past weekend (thank you!) and we made lots of progress. We are over half way with getting the sheet rock up and have our carpet and tile picked out. I realized now that I haven't taken anymore pictures of the progress but will soon.
Have a good week everyone and hope your March Madness brackets are looking better than mine.
Also we want to wish everyone a Happy Easter! We have a wonderful Savior who died for our sins.
Here are a few other pictures of the girls.
