Aloha!

We are getting pretty excited! On Saturday morning we are leaving for Hawaii for about 8 days! Tonight my plan is to get as packed as I can...and then I am sure I will add more to my bag tomorrow :) We plan to do a lot of relaxing on the beach, see some waterfalls, Pearl Harbor, go on a whale watching cruise, visit the North Shore and check out the surfers, and more. I will be sure to post some pictures when we get back as I do not anticipate updating while we are gone.

I do have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning, which is actually the first meeting of the Centering Pregnancy group....so we will see how that goes. Here is a little idea of what is happening with the babies this week--week 16:
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.
Sounds like if the babies are in store for a growth spurt, then so am I. :) Here are the pictures for this week:
