The girls had an appointment this week for a weight check and they are doing great! Amelia is up to 7 pounds 13 ounces and Quinn is 7 pounds 6 ounces. We can really tell that their faces, legs, and arms are starting to fill out. They are still great eaters and usually eat about 3-4 ounces every 3-4 hours. It's pretty funny when they get hungry because they really start to chomp on their pacifiers, hands, eachother, anything they can. And then when they get the first sips from their bottle it's like they haven't eaten in days. I have also attempted to feed them both at the same time by myself in preparation for when Kevin goes back to work. The tricky part is burping one while continuing to feed the other, but I am sure I'll get the hang of it.
They are still doing really well at night too. We try to keep them well fed and do a lot of tummy time to stay awake during the evening so that by the time they eat for the last time before bed they are tired out and full. A couple times lately Quinn will be the first to wake up and when we take her out of the crib, even if Amelia is out cold, she usually wakes up within a couple minutes of taking Quinn out. She must sense that Quinn isnt there anymore...kinda cool.
This past week Kevin's parents have been here visiting which has been fun. It's nice to have an extra set of hands to feed the girls, bake cookies :), and give us a break for a quick nap!
And of course the fun part, pictures:
Our two princesses...
Ready to go to the doctor:
Trying out the Boppy pillows for the first time. Amelia loved it, but Quinn wasn't quite sure about it. Quinn is just a tad smaller so she didn't fit quite as well. This is how I fed them both at the same time though:

For those of you who don't know, I have a secret obsession with weather. I would much rather be out taking pictures of a storm than hiding inside. Well, last night we FINALLY got some rain and I decided to take some pictures from our deck as the storm rolled in.
Sharing a Boppy...must be getting close to feeding time as Amelia is trying to eat Quinn's face:
Our happy babes:
We also wanted to say thank you to everyone who has stopped over for a visit, brought gifts or meals, or supported us through prayer. We feel very blessed!
Have a great weekend!
