February 1 marks the 15 week point! I can definitely tell that the babies continue to grow...because I sure continue to expand too! :) The babies are around 4 inches long this week- about the size of an apple. This weekend I was able to do some shopping and found a couple shirts and some leggings...which should be more comfortable. I am also very thankful that I have continued to feel so well so far.
In February, I will be starting with a group called Centering Pregnancy that the clinic I go to is organizing. There will be about 10 women with similar due dates to mine, including another woman who is expecting twins, who will meet every couple of weeks and discuss different topics. Its a great way to have much more time with our doctor than we would normally have. To be honest, this is a little out of my confort zone and I really wasn't planning on doing it, but my doctor convinced me. Why not right? Might as well enjoy every aspect and see what its all about. I will be sure to let you know how it goes.
Anyway, here are the pictures for this week...

Time to Shop!
I am pretty sure I woke up on Wednesday morning and had "popped out" over night. Not sure if the delicious/large meal I had in Rock Rapids Tuesday night had anything to do with it or if it's because they are now each the size of a lemon (whoa!), but it's pretty fun :) This weekend I am planning on going shopping and might just have to pick up a couple maternity things.
Each week we get an email that tells us what is happening, growing, and developing with the babies for that week. We still find the entire process so amazing. We have a very creative Lord! From the very beginning every detail is intricate and perfect. We are very lucky that God chose us to be the parents of these little children.
In case anyone is interested, this is what is happening during week 14, which started Wednesday:
Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Peaches
On Tuesday this week we had another ultrasound, which I love to go to! Kevin wasn't able to make it to this appointment because of school but I got a ton of good pictures to show him--some of which are posted below. Baby B was being very photogenic so most of the pictures are of Baby B. Baby A decided he/she wanted to do handstands and kind of burrow in so it was a little more tricky to get good pics. They did do a couple 3D (i think) where you can see both of them and see a lot more detail....although I think they look a little more alien like in those.
This week the email I received said the babies are the size of a medium shrimp--about 3 inches long. I didn't think that sounded very cute to take a picture with two 3-inch shrimp so I decided to look around. Another site said at 13 weeks they are the size of peaches--much cuter! Tomorrow I have an appointment with my normal doctor and then in 7 weeks we have the 20 week ultrasound where we can find out the gender! Can't wait!

12 Weeks!
This week we hit the 12 week mark! I am very thankful to have made it this far and with how well I have been feeling (other than feeling very full) :) Through these last 12 weeks I have rarely felt sick so I am going to keep enjoying every day incase that were to change. We have decided to take a picture each week with the size of the fruit or food that the babies are for that week. This week they happen to be the size of a lime. We still find it crazy to imagine that there are two of them...let alone two lime sized beings inside of me!
Next week Tuesday I will meet with a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor to have an ultrasound and some routine tests and bloodwork. Please pray that all goes well. Then on Friday I will meet with my regular doctor for my monthly checkup. Hopefully the results from Tuesday will also be back.
